The Mildura Base Public Hospital Foundation Gala was nothing short of magical. With picture-perfect weather, glamorous attire and almost 200 guests in attendance, the night unfolded in a spirit of joy, generosity and genuine community connection.
From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere felt special. Laughter filled the room, glasses were raised and the excitement was unmistakable. One of the evening’s standout moments came before dinner, with a stunning contemporary dance performance by a group of talented female dancers. This year’s Gala felt particularly meaningful as guests were given a closer look at the progress of the Foundation’s Mobile Skin Screening Vehicle. A video presentation showcased just how far the project has come, helping many attendees better understand its purpose, scale and impact. With the vehicle now approaching completion, the sense of anticipation and pride in the room was palpable.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of those in attendance, the night raised more than $60,000. These funds will play a vital role in bringing the Screening Vehicle to life, a project that will be a true game changer for people across our region. Once on the road, it will deliver essential screening services to rural and remote communities who would otherwise face significant barriers to access.
Entertainment continued well into the evening, with a live band keeping the dance floor full. Both the live and silent auctions were another highlight, raising a significant contribution through an impressive selection of donated items. Once again, the generosity of local businesses shone through, reinforcing just how deeply the Mildura community supports the Foundation’s mission.
