Is a passionate advocate for health, fitness and a thriving community.
Born in Mildura and having lived most of her life in the Sunraysia, she has also spent time in Melbourne and Perth where she worked and studied.
Joanne has a strong back ground in sales, marketing, event management and fitness.
For most of her working life she has worked in sales and marketing for various companies. Over the past 25 years she has played a significant role within the wine industry building brands, brand awareness, communication, public relations, sales, marketing and event management campaigns.
Over the past 19 years Joanne has been employed and work within the families business, Zilzie wines as the Regional Sales, Marketing and Events Manager. She has been involved in many events and fundraising initiatives both locally and nationally such as the Jazz, food and wines festival, Opera by the lock, Summer Salt concert, By the C, kids under cover, prostrate awareness, charity golf days, The pink breast cancer ball and Its Never Ok campaign.
She has a passion for fitness and has owned her own part time business and studio for over 10 years at Jo Forbes women's health, fitness and rehabilitation. Joanne has also worked with woman from domestic violence, to cancer patients wanting to gain back their confidence, strength and independence.
Joanne has experience experienced first-hand the terrible consequences of cancer losing her father and father-in-law both to the disease.
