In this episode, host John Dooley is speaking with Dr Melinda Hinkson, Adjunct Associate Professor Climate Change Adaptation at La Trobe University Bundoora Campus. Dr Hinkson is also are social anthropologist, a farmer, and a research leader with wide ranging interests and expertise. She has a close involvement with the Mildura Writers Festival and in 2023 she was the Festival’s ‘Writer in Residence’, presenting the keynote lecture: ‘Farming Futures: Views from the Millewa-Mallee’.
Dr Hinkson resides on a 7000 acre dryland farm near Werrimull in Victoria’s Millewa region.
