In this episode, host Heath Kendall is speaking with Mildura Base Public Hospital’s, Executive Director of Clinical Operations and Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer, Katrina Allen.

In a very open discussion, Katrina, who was born and bred in Mildura, talks candidly about her life in Bendigo decades ago, where as a single mother, on a meagre income, she worked hard to bring up her young son Jake, while at the same time juggling her university studies, work commitments and home life.

Katrina is testament to the fact that hard work, ambition and dedication can deliver a wonderful career and family life.

Today, she is a highly regarded member of the hospital’s executive team, having risen through the ranks over many years.
