BASE24 – Terms & Conditions
Event: BASE24
Event Date: Saturday 7 November 2026 – Sunday 8 November 2026

By registering for and participating in BASE24, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
- Registration and Participation
1.1. BASE24 is a 24-hour team-based fundraising event.
1.2. Participants must complete the registration process and provide accurate and current information.
1.3. Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically capable of participating in the event and should seek appropriate medical advice if they have any concerns about their ability to participate.
1.4. Participants must follow all reasonable directions and instructions provided by event organisers, staff, volunteers, venue personnel and emergency services.
1.5. The event organisers reserve the right to refuse or cancel a participant's registration where reasonably necessary, including where a participant's behaviour presents a risk to themselves or others.
- Participants Under 18
2.1. Participants under the age of 18 are welcome to participate in BASE24 provided they have the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
2.2. Any participant under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present and responsible for them throughout their participation in the event.
2.3. A parent or legal guardian must complete any required consent or registration documentation on behalf of a participant under 18.
2.4. The parent or legal guardian is responsible for ensuring that the minor complies with these Terms & Conditions and all reasonable instructions provided by the event organisers.
2.5. Participants under 18 must not consume alcohol or participate in any activity that is restricted by law due to age.
- Teams and Relay Participation
3.1. Participants will participate as part of a registered team.
3.2. Teams are responsible for managing their own relay participation and ensuring that appropriate team members are available throughout the event.
3.3. Participants must only participate in accordance with the event format and instructions provided by the organisers.
3.4. Participants must remain within designated event areas and follow all safety requirements.
- Fundraising
4.1. BASE24 is a fundraising event supporting Mildura Base Public Hospital Foundation and Movember.
4.2. Participants and teams are encouraged to raise funds through the approved fundraising methods provided by the event organisers.
4.3. All fundraising must be conducted honestly and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
4.4. Participants must not make misleading statements or representations about the event, its beneficiaries or the use of funds.
4.5. Fundraising donations are subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant fundraising platform.
- Health and Safety
5.1. Participation in BASE24 is voluntary and participants take responsibility for their own health and wellbeing.
5.2. Participants should take appropriate breaks, remain hydrated and participate at a level appropriate to their individual fitness and health.
5.3. If a participant becomes unwell, injured or otherwise unable to safely continue, they must stop participating and notify an event organiser or event staff member.
5.4. The event organisers may require a participant to stop participating if they reasonably believe the participant's health or safety, or the safety of others, is at risk.
- Alcohol and Drugs
6.1. BASE24 is an alcohol-free event.
6.2. Alcohol must not be brought onto or consumed within the event area.
6.3. The possession, use or distribution of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited.
6.4. Any participant found to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs may be removed from the event and/or refused further participation.
- Personal Belongings
7.1. Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings and valuables.
7.2. The event organisers are not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal property brought to the event.
- Photography and Media
8.1. By participating in BASE24, participants acknowledge that photographs, video and other recordings may be taken during the event.
8.2. Participants consent to the use of photographs, video and recordings in which they may appear for legitimate event, promotional, fundraising, social media and marketing purposes.
8.3. If a participant does not wish to be photographed or recorded, they should notify the event organisers prior to or during the event.
- Weather and Event Changes
9.1. BASE24 is an outdoor event and may be affected by weather or other circumstances beyond the organisers' control.
9.2. The event organisers reserve the right to modify, postpone, suspend or cancel the event where reasonably necessary due to weather, safety concerns, venue requirements, emergency situations or other circumstances beyond their reasonable control.
9.3. Where possible, participants will be notified of significant changes to the event as soon as reasonably practicable.
- Liability
10.1. To the extent permitted by law, participants acknowledge that participation in BASE24 involves inherent risks, including the risk of injury, illness, fatigue and adverse weather conditions.
10.2. Participants voluntarily accept these risks and are responsible for taking reasonable care of their own health and safety.
10.3. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or guarantees that cannot legally be excluded, restricted or modified under Australian law.
- Code of Conduct
11.1. All participants are expected to behave respectfully and responsibly towards other participants, volunteers, staff, spectators and members of the public.
11.2. Bullying, harassment, discrimination, threatening behaviour, violence or inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated.
11.3. The event organisers reserve the right to remove any participant from the event where their behaviour is considered unsafe, disruptive or inappropriate.
- Acceptance of Terms
12.1. By registering for BASE24, participants confirm that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
12.2. Where a participant is under 18, their parent or legal guardian confirms that they have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions on the participant's behalf.
12.3. The event organisers reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions where reasonably necessary. Any material changes will be communicated to registered participants where practicable.
