A conversation with Mary Rydberg

In this episode, host John Dooley is speaking with inaugural chair of the Mildura Base Public Hospital board, Mary Rydberg.

Mary took the reins of the newly formed board in 2020, when the hospital transitioned from private administration to public management at a critical and historic time, leading the organisation through not only the COVID pandemic, but also as the hospital worked to re-establish its identity as a publicly managed healthcare service. Mary’s connection with healthcare in the northern mallee can be traced back to the 1970s when she moved to the region with her husband.
