ONE AGENCY A-LEAGUE FESTIVAL OF SPORT 2025

A-LEAGUE TOP GUNS HEADING TO MILDURA!

THE Mildura Base Public Hospital (MBPH) Foundation is excited to announce the One Agency A-League Festival of Sport is making a triumphant return to Mildura in October. A-League powerhouse Melbourne Victory will face Adelaide United in this year’s charity fundraiser at the Mildura Sporting Precinct on Saturday, October 4. This exciting event is expected to draw a strong crowd and will include a children’s football clinic on Friday, October 3, to be held at the Aero Ovals. The clinic will be hosted by the two A-League teams with players from each club participating in the clinics.
On the Saturday preceding the main game, a ‘Tri-Series’ match will be played. The competing teams will be represented by amateur players from Sunraysia, the Riverland and Adelaide. The gala sports event will build on the success of last year’s A-League visit and promises to be bigger and better than ever.
MBPH Acting CEO, Matthew Jukes said he is looking forward to having two of the A-League’s great teams competing in Mildura at an event that will raise valuable funds for the Foundation.
“It is going to be another great sporting occasion for the people of Mildura and the wider Sunraysia to enjoy, and indeed also for people from outside the region who will travel here for the event,” Mr Jukes.
“The excitement is already building, and I think for families of young football players, it will be a fantastic opportunity to attend both the clinic and the matches on Saturday and make a great weekend of it.”
Melbourne Victory Managing Director, Caroline Carnegie said the Club was thrilled to be involved in the event.
“Melbourne Victory is delighted to be coming to Mildura in October for what will undoubtedly be a brilliant event,” Ms Carnegie said.
“Our Club’s focus on community is something we are proud of as we continue to work hard to provide all Victorians with more opportunities to engage with football. To be involved in the MBPH Foundation’s A-League charity fundraiser is a real pleasure for us as it aligns with the values we hold dear as a Club. This project forms an integral part of the Club’s broader regional strategy to lead, unite, connect and inspire through football in regional communities, with a focus on building fandom across the State.
“We hope this is the first of many games we can bring to Mildura.”
Adelaide United visited last year and their CEO Nathan Kosmina has said returning to Mildura is going to a real joy.
“Our players and all of our coaching and support staff and importantly our fans had a ball in Mildura last year,” Mr Kosmina remarked.
“Meeting our rivals Melbourne Victory head-on at the Mildura Sporting Precinct, is going to see a highly competitive match played! We can’t wait to be there in October.”
